Startup Highway together with EIT Climate-KIC is proud to host the only EU accelerator programme focused on climate impact by cleantech commercialisation as it now comes to Lithuania. This will be first-ever cleantech accelerator in Lithuania and it’s about to kick-off with 7 local startups in the batch!
The jury, made out specialists from Lithuania and Germany, both public and private sectors have made their decision to invite the following startups:
Electric scooter sharing business for both B2B and B2C.
Custom-design unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to improve the speed, efficiency and effectiveness of utility infrastructure inspection and monitoring.
The solar-powered catamaran that is created out of 95% recycled materials.
Automation and accuracy from the very earliest stages of planning, incorporating 3D topographical data points to simulate the actual location of the solar plant.
A platform that allows charging station owners to earn passive income by renting them out to the public – the “Airbnb” for electric car sharing stations.
Edible insect farm management software that involves the use of IoT and big data analytics in order to capture and measure what influences the key performance indicators of edible insect farming.
A platform for prosumers that allows selling the surplus of generated electricity to other users in order to accelerate the ROI of their PV systems.
The selected startups will share a grant of €120.000. Startups are at various stages and will be working on business model development, getting their first customers or towards further investment and scaling.
The accelerator programme connects EIT Climate-KIC with selected partnerships from business, higher education and research, as well as regional policy-makers, public entities and other stakeholders to spur innovation in Europe.
The EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (EIT RIS) is EIT Climate-KIC’s outreach programme to increase the innovation capacity of European regions that don’t yet benefit directly from the EIT and its Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs).
Climate-KIC is the EU’s largest public-private partnership addressing climate change through innovation to build a zero carbon economy.
